The safety certification of products has been developed relatively early in developed countries. The degree of implementation is relatively complete and the scope is relatively large. Some certification marks are well-known all over the world and enjoy a high degree of credibility. Given that China has been integrated into the big family of world trade, it is very necessary to know some well-known foreign brands and logos.
UL is an abbreviation of English Underwriter Laboratories Inc., UL was founded in 1894. The UL Safety Test Institute is the most authoritative in the United States and is the larger private institution engaged in safety testing and identification in the world. It is an independent, non-profit professional organization that conducts tests for public safety. It adopts scientific test methods to study and determine the degree of harm to life and property of various materials, devices, products, equipment, and buildings. Identify, write, and issue appropriate standards and information that helps reduce and prevent loss of life and property, and conduct fact-finding business. UL's service scope has been extended to all parts of the world, in China by the regional agency for certification operations. UL plays a large role in promoting the development of international trade and eliminating trade barriers. The following are several UL signs, each with its specific meaning and importance. The UL Listing Mark, Classification Mark, and recognized component certification mark are shown in Figure 2.
